The Volunteer Corps is always in need of individuals and groups that will help with projects at the camp. NO VOLUNTEER WILL BE TURNED AWAY. We have many opportunities for individuals to get involved and make a difference. Also, we have several projects that we can accomplish with groups of individuals working for a common cause.
PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING YOUR TIME TO HELP US PRESERVE THIS WONDERFUL PLACE. Every Wednesday morning (year round) at 8 AM several people meet at Carol's Cornerstone Cafe for breakfast, good conversation, and discussion of the projects for the Wednesday Volunteer Corps workday at the camp. We then meet at the camp at about 9:30 AM to spend whatever hours we each have working on a project for the camp. We cut, split, and bundle firewood. We mow grass, cut weeds, water plants and flowers, and mulch flower beds and trails. We have electrical projects that need completed. We need plumbing expertise from time to time. We clean cabins, bathrooms, and kitchen equipment. Mechanical projects with our mowers, garden tractor, golf carts, and trailers are always popping up. We do carpentry work, landscaping, fencing, and anything else that might need to be done on a 12.7 acre rural property.
We need volunteers to work on the stewardship plan for the forest and help us to care for our wonderful wooded resources. What a great way to spend a day or just a few hours enjoying the outdoors. What we do now to protect our resources will bring prosperity and joy to our camp for many years to come.
