Nature's gift for the enjoyment of the outdoors!

NAMELESS CREEK YOUTH CAMP, INC.
STRATEGIC PLAN 2011-2013

Our Mission:

It is our mission to create outdoor recreational and camping opportunities to increase the appreciation of nature and the enjoyment of the outdoors and outdoor sports for youth of all ages in Greenfield, Hancock County, and the surrounding counties.

Camp use:

The camp facilities are available for use by reservation on a first come, first served basis.  The camp is available to any youth group that has adult supervision. It is also available for reunions, church functions, community activities, and programming deemed appropriate by the Nameless Creek Youth Camp board of directors.

Our focus market will be Scouting, school groups, athletic teams, recreational athletic groups, service groups, churches, county clubs and agencies, and summer community programs.

Rental/Lease options:

At this time there are three basic areas that could be used for day events and overnight camping.

The main part of the camp has plenty of room for tents, along with a fire pit.  (Restrooms w/ showers, pavilion with several picnic tables, BQ grills, and children’s playground are in this vicinity).

The second area has three nice cabins with sleeping space for 8-10 people in each.  Each cabin has a small refrigerator, microwave, and fan.  We hope to have a window air conditioner available when renting a cabin for an additional fee.  There is a fire pit and picnic benches.

The third area is in the woods with area for tent camping and a fire pit. Several benches are available in this area. The gathering area for group experiences is also located in this vicinity.

ALL
camp users will have use of the restrooms and showers in the main part of the camp. The pavilion w/ grills and the playground are also for all camp users.  The volleyball court, horse shoe pits, recreational field, activity equipment, gathering area and the wooded trails will be available to all camp users. There are also 3 outhouses at the woods’ perimeter.

Our Vision for 2013:

Nameless Creek Youth Camp will be a full service camp in the east-central portion of Indiana. Along with all of the facilities and camp improvements made since 2006, we will develop a safe play area with existing and additional recreational play equipment for our youngest campers.

Along the south side of the south driveway coming into the camp area there will be several parking spaces to add to our new parking lot.  The south entrance gate will be completely reconfigured with new gate and fencing to the road area.  We shall have an improved drive to the kitchen area with some additional parking spots for service vehicles and the private year-round use of the kitchen/meeting area.  We hope to add meeting room space that will increase our capacity of the recently renovated kitchen.

We will provide a safe and secure facility for all of our programs, rentals, and users.  Our pavilion will have a concrete multi-use floor for dancing and other appropriate activities.  Our new
NCYC Annual Park Pass membership and group membership program will provide access to our camp for hundreds of area citizens.  We will create, with the help of CGS Services, a recycling area at the front of the camp near the road for the Blue River Township area residents.  Eventually there will be containers for paper, bottles, and aluminum cans.

We will have well maintained and improved cabins and possibly more cabin space as the need grows.  We will have a new sidewalk from the kitchen to the bathrooms and a roof connecting the kitchen with the pavilion.  It is our hope that with additional funds, we will be able to create a "roll- down" weather protection for the pavilion.

As the interest grows at Nameless Creek Youth Camp we will provide opportunities for summer camp programs to be held at the camp throughout the week.  Vacation Bible school, recreational experiences, equestrian programs, and nature experiences are some programming ideas that we would like to facilitate.

The annual operating budget in 2013 is projected to be between $7,500.00 and $10,000.00. The goal is to build our fundraising projects, program/rental income, and endowment fund so that the annual budget will operate in the black.  Future generations will enjoy the camp for decades to come. The items included in future budget consideration are:  Liability insurance, utilities, maintenance, upkeep, equipment repair, supplies, capital improvements, and a stipend program for camp internships and program directors during the summer months.
